How it plays

You are 1, the rival is 2. Click a piece, then a highlighted square, to move diagonally. Captures are mandatory — the rule that makes checkers a game of forcing sequences rather than a shuffle. Reach the far row and your piece is crowned a king.

Three ways to play

Against the computer at Easy, Medium or Hard. Against a friend on another device: one of you creates a room and shares a five-letter code, the other joins with it. Or against a random opponent online. The computer game needs no sign-in; the online modes do, which keeps matches fair and results real.
