How it works
Every game on this site is a complete, ordinary game — Sudoku, Minesweeper, backgammon, Tetris, 2048, Snake, trivia, word search. The only unusual thing about them is what they look like: a spreadsheet, an email inbox, a team chat channel, a training portal. That is the whole idea.
1. Pick a game
The catalogue lists everything, and the title always tells you what the game really is — "Spreadsheet Sudoku" is Sudoku, "Budget Audit" is Minesweeper, "Inventory Stacking" is Tetris. Filter by Puzzle, Strategy, Arcade or Trivia, or start from the most-played list on the home page.
2. Play it in the browser
A game is just a web page. Nothing installs, nothing downloads, and you do not need an account. Open it, play, close the tab — that is the entire flow. It reads like another tab of work because it is styled like one: column headers, a formula bar, sheet tabs, a ribbon.
3. Hide it in one tap
Every game has a boss key. Tap Esc three times, or press Ctrl+Shift+B, and the screen becomes a blank, plausible spreadsheet — no game, no scores, no colours. The same keys bring the game back exactly where you left it, with your progress and timer intact.
It is deliberately a key combination you can hit without looking, and deliberately not a button you would have to find with the mouse.
Scores and leaderboards
Playing is anonymous by default: your best times and scores are kept in your own browser. If you sign in, those scores also go to the leaderboards — ranked worldwide and by country, by week and all-time — and follow you to any device you sign in on.
What other players see is a nickname you choose. Your email and real name are never shown. What is stored, and how to delete it, is set out in the privacy policy.
Offline and on your phone
Once a game has been opened it is cached, so it keeps working if the connection drops. The site can also be installed as a web app from your browser menu, which puts it on your home screen and opens it without browser chrome. Everything works with touch as well as a mouse.
Is it free?
Yes — all of it, with no payment, no trial and no paid tier. An account is optional and only ever does the one thing described above.
A note on using it at work
The disguise is cosmetic. It keeps a game from announcing itself to the room, which is useful on a real break — it does not hide anything from your employer's network, and it is not meant to. Use your judgement about where and when.
