Word search is the most forgiving puzzle there is. There is no timer pressure to understand, no rules to learn, nothing to lose — you look at a grid of letters until a word stops hiding. Ten levels that actually get harder

A single word search gets boring the moment you finish it, so this one is a run of ten. Level 1 is a 9×9 grid with five terms, hidden only across and down — the gentlest version of the puzzle. From there it climbs: the grid grows to 11×11, then 13×13, then 16×16, and the number of terms rises to fourteen.

The directions open up as you go, too. Diagonals appear at level 3, the second diagonal at level 5, backwards words at level 7, and by level 9 a word can run in any of the eight directions. One clock runs across the whole run, so what lands on the leaderboard is your total time for all ten levels.

Why the words do not jump out at you

Most word search puzzles give themselves away. The filler letters are picked at random from the whole alphabet, so a Q or a Z sitting in the grid is almost certainly filler, and the letters that belong to real words end up looking different from the noise around them.

Here the filler is built from the same letters the hidden terms use, so nothing stands out as obviously fake. The generator also places each word where it overlaps the most with words already on the board — roughly a dozen shared cells per grid — which means the answers are woven together rather than scattered in empty space.

It looks like text analysis

The disguise is a spreadsheet. Column letters across the top, row numbers down the side, a formula bar that updates as you drag across cells, sheet tabs at the bottom. The word list is not a floating panel — it is a table beside the grid with columns for the term and its status, totalling up as you go. Drag across a run of letters and the formula bar reads something like =C7:G7 "BUDGET".

The terms themselves are ordinary office vocabulary — invoices, contracts, logistics, onboarding — drawn from six different word banks so two runs never look the same.
